From the time when I was a child I’ve sculpted. Back then, I used a butter knife to carve Ivory soap bars. Now my tools are a bit more exacting, but I like to think of myself as having that same excitement in creating.

Crafting people and more from hard materials such as metal and stone is a unique experience. Although two dimensions are enough to convey a likeness, there’s something about that third dimension that adds weight - both literally and psychologically.

As far back as I can remember, I’ve always gravitated toward the human face, and continue to come back to it. After creating many, many portraits over the years, I realize my fondness for them is based on connecting. It’s always a process, and the process itself is a journey in connecting with another person.

Although I’ve spent most of my adult life as a marketing professional, I’ve never abandoned working on my art, and now moreso than ever. Please have a look. I’d look forward to connecting with you!
